Where on Earth?
PAPER FORMAT
A high-stakes, fast-paced guessing game that turns the whole world into a playing field.
Two teams of two go head-to-head to identify mystery locations from around the globe from only a single image.
-
Round One: The Pros
Two of the world’s best online geography experts go head-to-head in a rapid-fire duel: five images, 20 seconds each. Closest guess (within 500 km) wins £250 per image. Then we discover how they did it, as the experts talk us through the tiny visual clues and extraordinary logic that led them to their answers.
Precision under pressure, and a masterclass in geographical deduction.
Round Two: The Public
Now the civilians step up. Using the techniques they’ve just learned from the experts, they face a new set of five mystery locations.
Closest guess (again within 500 km) wins £500 per image. Can the amateurs spot the clues, trust their instincts and put their newfound geographical deduction skills into practice?
Round Three: Team Play
Now the experts and civilians join forces.
Five brutal locations. Each player locks in a guess, and the expert’s distance from the correct location is added to their teammate’s. The team with the lowest combined distance takes the question and banks £1,000.
The team with the most money at the end wins the show.
The Hosts
The show has two hosts: one overseeing the competition, and another alongside a resident geography expert, analysing the locations, revealing the clues and sharing techniques that allow viewers at home to play along.
