The Restaurant is a long-running Irish factual entertainment format blending celebrity, cooking and hidden identity.
Each episode sees a well-known figure become head chef for one night in a real restaurant, creating a menu inspired by their tastes, memories and personal story before delivering a full service to paying diners.
The twist: their identity is secret. Diners, including respected food critics, judge the experience without knowing who is in the kitchen. Only after the verdicts are delivered is the celebrity chef revealed.
At its heart, The Restaurant is a personal challenge. Rather than competing against others, the celebrity is testing themselves and sharing their personality through food.
